About the Course
Your baby isn't the only one being born, you are too. The birth of your baby, and every birth after this one, will change you. As a society, you may find that we are less equipped today to prepare, nourish, and support a mother's recovery as she transitions into her new identity.
“Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers — strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength.” Barbara Katz Rothman
In the medical industry, the postpartum period only last six weeks after birth. As you will soon discover, biological and emotional challenges will continue for at least an entire year.
Unlike the Birth Preference Plan, this Postpartum Plan focuses on physical recovery, emotional support, and lining up resources if you find yourself in need of help.
Every woman's postpartum experience, just like pregnancy, is different. Do what feels right for you and your family, always.
